Man charged with burglary after break-in at Castle Gresley house

A 25-year-old man has been charged with burglary after a large amount of jewellery was stolen from a house in Castle Gresley.

Police were called to an address in Burton Road, which was burgled between 7am and 6.50pm on Tuesday, March 3.

A large amount of gold jewellery was reported as stolen from the address.

Arram Price was arrested on suspicion of burglary and has now been charged with the alleged offence.

The 25-year-old, of Rover Way, Cardiff, was also charged with dangerous driving and using a vehicle without insurance.

He appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 5 and was remanded, to appear again at a later date.

A 21-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of burglary has been bailed pending further inquiries.
