Posted on 11th March 2015

Police are appealing for information after two joggers saw men carrying what were believed to be shotguns on a country lane in Little Eaton.

The women were running along Moor Lane when they saw two men standing next to a Land Rover or similar vehicle.

One of the men was holding what was thought to be a shotgun, and spoke in an intimidating manner to the joggers.

The men were dressed in outdoor, weather-proof clothing and had a whippet and a staffy type dog with them.

The incident happened at about 9.30am on Sunday, March 1.

Police believe the men may have been going hunting and want to hear from anyone who may have information on their identities.

Witnesses who saw the men, or anyone with information, should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 8637/15.

You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
