Man arrested on suspicion of committing several burglaries in south Derbyshire

A man has been arrested in connection with several burglaries in south Derbyshire.

The 23-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of burgling a house in Almond Grove and Renishaw Drive, Newhall, and an attempted burglary at Hazel Close in the town, all overnight between March 10 and 11.

He has also been arrested on suspicion of burgling Newhall Infant and Nursery School on March 10 and Burton-on-Trent Golf Club, Ashby Road East, Bretby, on March 15.

He has been questioned and released on bail while inquiries continue.
