Witness appeal to fatal collision on A6

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal three-vehicle collision that occurred on the A6 at Ambergate.

A Honda, a Saab and a heavy goods vehicle were involved in the collision, which happened at about 4.40pm on Wednesday, March 18.

The driver of the Saab was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

A large stretch of the A6 between Ambergate and Cromford was closed for several hours while an investigation into the crash was launched. It was reopened at about 11.20pm.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
