A woman has been arrested in connection with the alleged theft of a bag containing a four-year-old boy’s insulin.

An appeal was circulated by Derbyshire Constabulary yesterday after the shark bag was allegedly stolen from McDonald’s in St Peter’s Street, Derby.

Several calls were made to the force as a result of the appeal.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft this morning and remains in custody.

Derbyshire police would like to thank members of the public who contacted the force and would urge any other witnesses, or anyone with information, to do so by calling 101.

The incident took place at about 12pm on Wednesday, March 4. The bag and the boy’s insulin have been recovered.
