Image released of man police would like to speak to in connection with meat thefts in Allestree

On Wednesday, February 25 at 4.55pm two men entered the Co-Operative supermarket on Park Farm.

The offenders approached the meat counter and picked up several joints of meat, placed them in a carrier bag and left the shop without paying.

Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The first man was described as 5ft 8ins tall in his mid to late 20s and was wearing a beanie hat, dark coloured jeans, a white t-shirt with writing on, grey trainers and an Adidas coat with white strips down the arms.

The second man was described as white, early to mid-20s, 5ft 8ins tall and had short, dark coloured hair. He was wearing dark coloured jeans and a dark coloured jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Tim Phillips at St Marys Wharf police station on 101 quoting crime reference 8110/15.
