Three men arrested in connection with a robbery at a house in Dronfield

Police make three arrests in connection with a robbery in Dronfield where children were threatened with a firearm.

On Thursday, March 19 at around 8pm three men entered a house on Stubley Lane in Dronfield.

The men assaulted the home owner, tied him, his wife and child up and forced another child to accompany him during a search of the house.

A quantity of cash and jewellery was stolen from the address before the men were disturbed by a caller.

When leaving the house they threatened a takeaway delivery driver and fled the scene in his car, a silver Nissan Almeria, which was later found abandoned.

Two men, aged 33 and 35 years-old, were arrested on Sunday, March 29 and a further man, aged 35 was arrested yesterday (Monday, March 30) on suspicion of robbery.

All three men were released on police bail pending further investigations.
