Ducks and chicken killed in suspicious fire

Police are appealing for information to suspicious fire in which four ducks and a chicken were killed.

The blaze happened at a shed in an allotment off Alice’s View, in North Wingfield, in the early hours of Friday, May 1.

The shed and a nearby greenhouse were destroyed in the fire, along with gardening tools and a rotavator.

The animals were housed in the shed and were all killed in the incident.

Police want to hear from any witnesses or anyone who saw people acting suspiciously at the allotment site overnight in the early hours of May 1.
