Police appeal for witnesses after an assault on a Derby park.

On Friday, September 11 at 8.20pm an altercation took place on Racecourse Park on Sir Frank Whittle Way. This involved a 16-year-old boy and a group of youths.

The victim returned to the park with his step-father and approached a group of youths. After a short conversation the group attacked the youth and the man.

Two of the men were aged 17 -18 years old. Two of the youths were Asian two were described as Eastern European. The main offender was described as white with a bald head and was wearing a tracksuit.

The man and the youth were treated at Royal Derby Hospital for cuts and bruises.
