Woman assaulted in alleyway

Posted on 18th April 2017

Can you help our officers with information on an assault in an alleyway?

A 39-year-old woman was walking home between midnight and 1am on Saturday, April 8 and took a route along a path off Nuns Street, in Derby.

As she walked along the alleyway, she approached a small group made up of three men and a woman.

She walked past but then a short time later was shoved to the ground from behind. She was not seriously injured but was left with broken glasses and bruising. Nothing was stolen.

The woman in the group was white, of thin build, in her late teens or early 20s, was about 5ft 5ins and had light brown hair tied in a ponytail.

The men in the group were also white, of thin build and in their late teens or early 20s.

We want to speak to anyone who was in the area around that time and might have seen the group.

If you witnessed the assault, know the people responsible or can help in any way, call PC Lewis Soult on 101, quoting reference 17000152097.
