Appeal following Derby street robbery

Officers investigating a street robbery in Derby are appealing for information.

At around 6.35pm on Wednesday, April 26, a 21-year-old woman was walking along the Nuns Street area of Derby when she was approached from behind by a man.

The man attempted to steal her phone from her hand, and after a struggle, he ran off with the iPhone 7 in the direction Five Lamps.

The man was described as white, 6ft tall, of skinny build, and aged between 35 and 40-years-old. He wore a black t-shirt, black jeans, and carried a red plastic drawstring bag which he wore like a rucksack.

He was of scruffy appearance, with short brown hair, stubble, and spoke with an English accent.
