Two bicycles stolen from a garden in Hadfield

Posted on 1st August 2017

We’re trying to trace two bicycles stolen in Hadfield.

Between 6pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday, July 26, a thief went into the back garden of a house in Railway Street and took two bikes.

One is a black Landrover bike with orange and black on it and it also has a red bottle holder. The other is a black Claud Butler Trail Ridge bike, the serial number of which is UCL14020089.

We have released images of a bike similar to the Claud Butler bike in a bid to trace it. We are also offering the following crime prevention advice:

  • Lock your bike away in a shed or a garage or lock it to a solid structure like a fence if you don’t have a suitable outbuilding
  • Register your bike with sites such as immobilise.com or bikeregister.com so if it’s stolen and recovered, it can be returned to you
  • Take photos of your bike to help police if it’s stolen

Witnesses or anyone with information should call PCSO Brian Buller on 101, quoting reference 17000323303.

Alternatively, send him a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website here.

You can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
