A man has been arrested following a collision on the A6 at Alvaston.
The 25-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
An officer was following a car along the A6 in Alvaston at 11.30pm on Monday, August 21, when the car collided with a central reservation.
The passenger, 27-year-old Jacob Morton, died following the collision while the driver was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham where he remains in a stable condition.
The force has referred itself to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
