Posted on 29th August 2017

We’re trying to trace the driver of a car after it was in collision with a 13-year-old boy, breaking a bone in his foot.

CCTV footage shows the incident, which took place on Uttoxeter Old Road, Derby, near the junction with Sims Avenue.

The boy is seen with a friend walking along the pavement. He steps into the road and into the path of traffic.

He is in collision with a silver car which does not stop at the scene. The boy was helped by passers-by. It was later discovered he had broken a bone in his foot.

The incident happened at about 5.20pm on Tuesday, June 6. Extensive inquiries, including house to house visits and checks of local cameras have not identified the driver but it is hoped that this CCTV footage may jog someones memory.
