We are appealing for further witnesses to an alleged assault near Curzon Street, in which a woman suffered severe facial injuries.

The 29-year-old woman was found by a passer-by in Friary Street, Derby, at about 7.20am on Sunday, December 3.

She had a number of severe injuries to her face, including several fractures.

We issued an appeal for information earlier this month and are issuing one again now.

In particular, we want to hear from anyone who saw a man and woman arguing in the Curzon Street or Friary Street, or any drivers who have a dashcam and might have footage of the incident.

Anyone who can help should call DC Pete Matthewman on 101, quoting reference 17000526225.

Alternatively, send him a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website www.derbyshire.police.uk/Contact-Us.

You can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Michael Tomlinson, 39, of Balleny Close, Derby, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and was remanded into prison custody.
