Images released by detectives investigating bank robbery

Posted on 13th February 2017

We are releasing images of a man we want to speak to about a bank robbery in Swadlincote.

We appreciate that the images are small but we hope that someone may recognise the man and get in touch.

Just before 5pm on Monday, December 12, three men, who were wearing balaclavas and track suits, forced their way into HSBC in High Street, using a sledgehammer and a concrete block. They stole some cassettes of cash from the premises.

They made off from the bank through the link way to Morrisons and drove off in a dark coloured Audi A3 that was parked in the service area near the service station.

Police later seized a white VW Polo that they believe was used by the suspects.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call DS Jo James on 101, quoting reference 16000411569.

Alternatively, send her a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website www.derbyshire.police.uk/Contact-Us.
