Teenaged boy dies following collision in South Normanton

A teenaged boy has died following a collision in South Normanton.

We were called to Fordbridge Lane just before 8pm last night (Sunday, February 19) to reports that a 14-year-old boy on a push scooter had been in collision with a black Ford Fusion.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.

He remains in custody and will be questioned today.
