Man injured following crash in Rowsley

A man has been left with significant facial injuries following a collision in Rowsley.

The driver called us at 2.10am today (Wednesday, February 22) to report that his car had left the road somewhere in Rowsley and that he was injured.

Several police cars, a dog unit and a helicopter were sent to the area to find him. The Ford Fiesta was found in a field off Chesterfield Road, having gone through a drystone wall.

The man was taken to the Sheffield Northern General Hospital for treatment.
