Police appeal for information after an attempt robbery and a man was assaulted in Littleover

Our officers are investigating two incidents that happened 30 minutes apart in Littleover.

On Saturday, February 18 between 7.55pm and 8.05pm a man and his wife were walking along Swanmore Road when they were approached by a man from behind.

The offender allegedly assaulted the man by kicking him.

The man was described as of a slim build, 6ft tall and was wearing dark coloured baggy bottoms and a black and white scarf that was covering his mouth.

At approximately 8.20pm on the same day a man was walking along Moorway Lane when he was approached by a man walking a dog who demanded that the victim hand over property.

When the man refused he was punched by the suspect knocking him to the ground. The man tried to run off but was allegedly assaulted again. Nothing was stolen.

The man was described as white and was wearing a black hooded top with the hood worn up, a purple and white patterned bandanna which was covering his lower face and dark coloured tracksuit bottoms. The dog was described as similar to a Staffordshire bull terrier with a white belly and brown shoulders and had a red bandanna around his neck.
