Man suffers serious injuries following collision with a car in Chesterfield

We are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained serious injuries following a collision with a car in Chesterfield.

The incident happened in Chesterfield Town Centre on Holywell Street close to the Donut Island.

It took place at around 11.50pm on Friday, February 17, where a 51-year-old man is believed to have been in a collision with a blue Ford Focus.

He fell to the floor and suffered a broken neck, cracked ribs and a compressed spinal cord.
