Cigarettes and cash stolen in Spondon robbery

We’re investigating a robbery at a Co-op store in Spondon.

At 2.30 this afternoon (Monday January 30) a man, with his face masked, went into the shop on Chapel Side and threatened an assistant with a knife. Cigarettes and cash were stolen.

He and an accomplice, who stayed in a car, are thought to have driven off towards the centre of the village.

The suspect is white and had a deep voice.
