Witness appeal after teenager is assaulted outside Mackworth home

Posted on 31st January 2017

Our detectives are asking for information from the public after a teenager was assaulted by a group of youths outside a house in Mackworth.

The 16-year-old boy had been at a party at an address in Mornington Crescent and was heading home when he was stopped by the group outside.

A short time later, he was punched and kicked by some of the group, who then ran off.

The assault happened at about 12.15am on Sunday, January 29.

We want to hear from anyone who witnessed it or who might have seen the group of youths – who were dressed mainly in dark clothing and hoodies – running off in the area.
