Man recovering in hospital following city centre assault

A man is recovering in hospital after he was assaulted in Derby city centre.

We were called to Full Street at 8.20pm last night (Saturday, July 22) following reports that a 35-year-old man had been assaulted and suffered injuries to his back and face.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains.
