Were you the Good Samaritan who helped Hartshorne robbery victim?

Posted on 27th July 2017

We’re appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Hartshorne after the victim felt confident enough to come forward and speak to officers.

A 14-year-old girl was walking along Woodville Road when a man approached her from behind, grabbed her arm and pushed her to the floor.

He searched her pockets and took some small change.

A woman passing by shouted at the man and pulled him away from the victim, allowing her to run away. We are interesting in speaking to this Good Samaritan.

The robber is described as 5ft 8ins tall, skinny and wearing a dark coloured hooded top and black jeans.

The crime happened at around 9pm on Saturday, April 15 but the victim has only recently felt able to talk about what happened and report it to the police.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call PC Ben Wildman on 101, quoting reference 17000315243.

Alternatively, send him a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website here.

You can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
