A teenaged boy has been charged with driving offences after a car was pursued by police through Derby.

At around 12.15pm on Friday, July 28, officers saw a car being driven along Ashbourne Road and signalled for it to pull over.

The car didn’t stop and officers followed it to the Pentagon Island and then into Chaddesden where it hit a tree in Hampshire Road.

Three people ran from the car and were followed on foot. One 17-year-old boy was arrested and later charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, failing to stop and driving without insurance.
