Art deco jewellery box stolen in burglary

Posted on 1st June 2017

Burglars broke into a house in the daylight hours and stole a jewellery box containing a number of sentimental pieces of jewellery.

The break-in happened at a house in Oakwell Drive, Ilkeston, between 9am and 5pm on May 24.

The offenders searched the house and took the art deco style box, which was a black box with orange birds on it.

Our officers want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity around Oakwell Drive during that day.

We also want to know if anyone has seen the box discarded anywhere, might have been offered it or given it as a gift, or can help us trace the burglars.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call PC Jim Gough on 101, quoting reference 17000217315.

Alternatively, send him a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of our website www.derbyshire.police.uk/Contact-Us.
