CCTV image released as part of inquiry into purse theft

We’ve released a picture of a woman we would like to speak to about the theft of a pensioner’s purse in Derby.

At around 1.30pm on Wednesday, May 10, a 79-year-old woman went to Nationwide, in Albion Street, Derby, and withdrew cash from the ATM, returning her purse to her bag.The woman we would like to speak to

She then went to Sainsbury’s at Intu but when she got to the till, she found her handbag was unzipped and her purse missing.

Cash was later taken from her bank account.

The woman pictured was in the bank at the same time as the victim and may have information to help the inquiry.
