Derby robbery victim sought

Posted on 9th March 2017

We’re trying to trace the victim of a robbery in Derby city centre, who has not come forward to report the crime.

At around 2.40pm on Thursday, February 16, the victim was seen arguing with four men in Bradshaw Way. One of the group punched the victim in the head and he fell to the floor.

While he was on the ground, the gang searched his pockets and took cash, tobacco and either a passport or wallet, which they handed back to him.

Two of the robbers then ran to the Intu shopping centre.

We are aware of the robbery because the victim later told Intu security staff about the crime.

The victim was wearing a green body warmer at the time.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call DC Tarj Nizzer on 101, quoting reference 17000069709.
