Police appeal for information after a car was in collision with a child

Our officers are investigating an incident where a woman allegedly drove her car at a group of school children after a verbal altercation.

On Friday, March 17 between 3.30pm a woman in a black car pulled up at a bus stop on Wilmot Street in Heanor. The woman had words with the children waiting at the bus stop.

The woman then allegedly drove the car towards the children and mounted the kerb hitting a boy in the process.

A 51 year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
