Witness appeal after wallet is stolen in street robbery

Our detectives are appealing to the public to help identify three robbers who stole a wallet from a man who was walking down the street.

The 23-year-old victim was walking along Society Place, in Normanton, when he was approached by the trio.

They assaulted him and tried to take his phone, but ran off with his wallet instead.

The robbery happened at about 11pm on Wednesday, March 15.

One of the robbers was aged between 20 and 25, about 5ft 8ins, of stocky build and with blond shaved hair. He wore a grey tracksuit and black trainers.

The second was aged between 25 and 30, around the same height, of medium build, and was wearing a grey beanie hat, a brown tracksuit, black trainers and black gloves.

The third was between 30 and 35, 6ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing a brown tracksuit.

All three were white.
