Jewellery stolen from man in Littleover

We’re investigating second distraction theft in Derby where jewellery was stolen from the neck of a man in Littleover.

The theft happened at around 1.30pm on Thursday March 16 on Burton Road in Littleover. A woman approached a local man and asked for directions. She then offered him jewellery and put a chain around his neck. He later realised his own chain had been stolen.

The woman was described as being white, of chubby build and between 35 and 40 years old. She was with a man in a grey saloon car who is described as dark skinned and a similar age to the woman.

This case is being linked to another that was publicised yesterday that happened shortly after 3pm on Sunday March 19 on Normanton Lane in Littleover.
