Witnesses sought following an assault in Sandiacre

Posted on 9th May 2017

We’re appealing for information after a woman reported she was assaulted following a night out in Sandiacre.

The 28-year-old has told officers that at around 11.50pm on Saturday, April 29, she was assaulted by a man in Town Street.

She was later approached by a woman, who may have been walking a dog, who offered help.

The man who assaulted her was white and had dark hair. He wore a black jacket.

We’re trying to trace the Good Samaritan who stopped to help, as well as any other witnesses. Town Street was busy that evening and CCTV shows there were several cars in the area.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call DC Tom Barry on 101, quoting reference 17000178704.
