Posted on 31st May 2017

A van driver has punched a taxi driver in an argument over a parking space.

We’re appealing for witnesses to the assault, which happened at about 12.30pm on Tuesday, May 23.

The 43-year-old taxi driver was at the outpatient car park of the Nuffield Hospital, Rykneld Road, when he was approached by the driver of a yellow van. The men argued and the van driver punched the victim. He fell to the floor and fractured his wrist.

He has described the van driver as white, about 5ft 9ins tall and of medium build. He had very short cropped brown hair and wore sunglasses and a black t-shirt.
