Stenson Field residents may see increased police presence in response to crimes

Posted on 9th November 2017

Residents living in Stenson Fields may see an increased police presence in the area as we investigate a robbery and crimes against several businesses.

We are investigating a robbery at Stenson Stores, on Pilgrams Way, at about 7am on Monday, November 6. Three men took cigarettes and a mobile phone.

We are also investigating break-ins at other businesses on Pilgrims Way, which took place in the early hours of Friday, November 3. The Delicious Indian takeaway was broken into, as was the Stenson Fields pub and the Harvest Kitchen Chinese takeaway.

Safer Neighbourhood Sergeant Graham Summers said: “We are carrying out extensive inquiries into all of these crimes and we would like to thank all the business owners who have spoken to us so far.

“The residents of Stenson Fields may see more officers in the area as we continue our investigations and I would urge residents to approach us if they have any information, or want to raise any concerns.”

We are also offering crime prevention advice;

  • Businesses are urged to empty their premises of cash at closing time
  • Make sure doors and windows are secure and security shutters are down
  • If you have CCTV cameras, make sure they are working

Witnesses to any of these crimes should call us on 101 quoting reference 17000480637. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
