Thieves steal victim's car and knock down wall as they flee

Posted on 27th November 2017

Thieves who stole jewellery from a house in Charlesworth then took the victim’s car and knocked a wall down as they fled the scene.

A house in Marple Road was burgled sometime between 5pm and 9.20pm on Thursday, November 23. They took jewellery and the victim’s grey Saab 9-5 Aero, registration Y768 CGT.

We believe the car will have heavy front nearside damage as the thief knocked over the garden wall as they left the driveway. The car has not been recovered.

At 10.30pm that same day, a white Audi Q3, with a 66 registration plate, pulled onto the drive with three men inside. The occupants quickly realised the homeowners were inside the house and drove off.

We want to hear from witnesses to the burglary and anyone who has seen the grey Saab or white Audi.
