Man arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in Derby

Posted on 7th October 2017

We want to reassure residents who may have seen officers wearing protective clothing in a Derby street this weekend.

We received information that there may be drugs at a flat in Magnus Court and officers went to search the flat on Saturday, October 7.

Because we didn’t know what drugs we might find, if any, we took the decision to dress the search team in protective clothing in case they discovered any harmful substances.

A quantity of what we believe to be drugs were discovered and a 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of producing and supplying drugs.

He has been released under investigation while the inquiry continues.

There was no risk to the public.
