Help police solve Allestree burglary

Posted on 6th October 2017

Merciless burglars reportedly helped themselves to cash, jewellery and a host of valuable electrical equipment after forcing entry to a house in Derby.

The alleged offence occurred at a property on Riddings in Allestree sometime between Sunday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 28.

Those responsible are believed to have smashed a downstairs window before helping themselves to a wide range of property and exiting via a patio door.

PC Andy Walters said: “If someone has offered to sell you items such as a silver Acer laptop, a diamond and sapphire eternity ring or a pair of silver square cufflinks, you could have information that’s crucial to our inquiries.

“Other distinctive items included a silver Samsung Chrome laptop, a gold engagement ring, a Canon camera and some gold oval shaped cufflinks accompanied with a tie-pin.

“I would also like to ask residents of the local area to cast back their minds and consider whether they saw anything untoward during that 11-day period.

“Anyone with information can call me on 101, quoting reference 17000416350, or by sending a message online via the ‘Contact Us’ page of our website.”
