Appeal for witnesses after a woman was racially abused on a bus

Officers investigating a report of alleged racial abuse are asking for anyone with information to contact them.

On Friday, August 4 between 10.50pm and 11.05pm a 27-year-old woman was on the 9.3 bus from Alfreton to Derby.

Two men, who were described as drunk got on the bus at Ripley Market Place, they sat near to the woman and made racially abusive comments directed to her.

The men got off of the bus at Prospect Street in Alfreton.

One of the men was described as white and was wearing a stripy t-shirt, a navy blue cap and was quite short.

The second man was white and was wearing a blue stripy t-shirt, had light brown hair and a beard.
