Police appeal for witnesses to alleged Buxton robbery

An alleged robber fled a property in Buxton with head injuries after one of the occupants fought back with a hammer.

Our officers are appealing for anyone with information about the incident, which occurred on Fairfield Road on Friday, April 6, to come forward.

At around 9.30am, three men with their faces covered and wearing gloves are reported to have entered a property on Fairfield Road.

One occupant, who was reportedly threatened with a screwdriver, armed himself with a hammer and caused head and shoulder injuries to the intruder.

The trio, including the injured man, then fled the building.

Several mobile phones, a quantity of cash and a debit card were later reported missing.
