Scene in place in Normanton following an incident this evening

Our officers are currently at a scene on Clarence Road where we called to reports that a youth had been stabbed earlier today, (Sunday, April 29).

At 5.20pm our officers were called to the Normanton area of the city. On arrival a 16-year-old boy was found with a small stab wound to his leg.

He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A small cordon remains in place on Clarence Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101 quoting incident number 669 of April 29.
