Three men arrested after man is shot in Normanton

On Friday, April 28, our officers were called to Coleridge Street in Sunny Hill to reports that a man had been shot.

A 26-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder; he has now been released from hospital.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and another man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.

Detective Chief Inspector Darren De’ath who is leading the investigation said: “We would still like to speak to anyone who has any information relating to this incident.

“Investigations are ongoing and our officers remain in the area.”
