Sentimental bracelet stolen in Mackworth burglary

Posted on 14th August 2018

We’re appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a house in Birdcage Walk on Saturday, August 4 shortly after 12 noon.

During the burglary a silver Links of London bracelet with 10 coloured stones was stolen as well as an iPad in a brown case and a quantity of cash.

It is believed the burglar/s entered the home via an insecure window whilst the owner was outside in the garden at around 12.30pm.

PC Paul Hodgson said: “This was a particularly distressing incident for the home owner as the bracelet that was stolen held a lot of sentimental value for her.

“I’d ask anyone with information or who has recently been offered similar items for sale to get in touch, as they may be able to assist with our enquiries.”
