Two teenagers arrested in connection with Morledge assault

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the assault of a man in Derby.

This now brings the number arrested in relation to the incident to six.

Officers were called to The Morledge on Sunday, November 25, at 5.05am, where they found a man with serious head injuries. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Following the incident two men aged 23, another aged 24, and a boy aged 16 were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. They have now been released on police bail.

Detective Sergeant Gavin Owen, said: “I would like to thank all those who have come forward following our appeal.

“As a result of the information we have received we have been able to identify those people we wanted to speak to in relation with this incident.

“While six people have been arrested, I would ask anyone who believes they may have information about the events of that morning to get in contact with us in confidence.”
