Witnesses sought to disturbance outside city centre bar

Officers responded to an incident outside Seymour’s Bar, Cheapside at around 10.10pm, on Saturday, December 1, following an altercation in the pub’s courtyard.

As a result of the altercation, a 36-year-old man sustained facial injuries, which required hospital treatment.

A 37-year-old man and a 26 year-old-woman, both from Derby, were arrested for GBH and have been released under investigation.

We would like to speak to anyone who was in the courtyard at the time and who witnessed the altercation.
