Two men have been arrested and a large amount of suspected synthetic cannabinoid recovered in Derby.

Officers from the Pro-Active Unit saw two men acting suspiciously in Becket Street and, believing they may be dealing drugs, stopped and searched them.

One man, aged 31, was found to be carrying what officers thought to be synthetic cannabinoid and they arrested him on suspicion of possessing drugs with the intent to supply.

As part of the investigation, we searched his flat in Bridge Street, where we found more of the suspicious substance.

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the flat on suspicion of possessing drugs with the intent to supply.

Both men have been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
