Man assaulted and robbed in Osmaston Park Road

A 21-year-old man has been left with facial injuries following a robbery near to Peartree Train Station in Derby, on Tuesday, January 2.

The man was walking home from McDonald’s restaurant, between 9pm and 9.30pm, when he was grabbed from behind and punched. He was knocked to the ground and was confronted by three men who stole two mobile phones from his pockets. One of which is a Blackberry and the other an unknown make.

The victim was then assaulted again and threatened, before the robbers headed towards McDonalds on foot.

One of the robbers is described as white, around 18-years-old, of a skinny build and wearing a puffer jacket. The other two men were wearing Adidas jackets and dark-coloured bottoms. All of the men were wearing gloves.
