Man assaulted in Babington Lane

Our officers are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident in Derby on Tuesday, January 2.

At around 3.40pm, a 27-year-old man was punched in the face by another man after becoming involved in a verbal altercation.

The offending man is described as approximately 25-years-old, with dark skin and around 6ft 3ins tall, of medium build with short black hair.

He was wearing a black zip up hoodie and dark coloured jeans.

Two other men then approached and held the victim down, whilst the first man continued to assault him.

One of these men is described as being aged between late 20s and early 30s, around 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build, with short ginger hair and beard.

He was wearing a red multi-coloured waterproof coat with hood and blue jeans.
