Appeal to trace two women who helped a woman in distress

Officers investigating a domestic assault are appealing for two women that gave a lift to a woman to contact them.

On Tuesday, June 26, a woman was assaulted in the Matlock area.

The woman got a lift to Nuthall Island in Nottinghamshire where she was picked up by two women and was given a lift to Eastwood, Nottinghamshire.

The women were driving a red car.

A 50- year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.
