Help us trace man shown in Ilkeston assault footage

We have released CCTV footage showing a man we’d like to speak to in connection with an assault in Market Place, Ilkeston.

A 39-year-old man was on a night out in Ilkeston when he was approached by a man who punched and kicked him, as he fell to the ground.

The 39-year-old was left with serious injuries which required hospital treatment.

The incident happened at 11.30pm on Friday, 18 May outside the Market Bar.

PC Leanne Dobinson said, “We are now seeking help from the public to identify the man shown in the video as we believe he may be able to assist with our enquiries.

“If you recognise the man or have any information which may help with this investigation please do get in touch.”
