Witness appeal after post office robbery

Our detectives are appealing for information after two men forced their way into a post office, making off with a large amount of cash.  

The men broke into the post office in Main Street, Linton, at about 6.40pm yesterday. 

They threatened staff inside and took cash, as well as CCTV equipment from the premises. 

 No one was injured in the robbery but the staff were left shocked. 

 The offenders were described as having Irish accents, and both had their faces concealed. 

 One was about 6ft, while the second was about 5ft 5ins. 

 Our detectives want to hear from anyone who was in the Linton area around that time yesterday, and saw any kind suspicious activity. 

 We also want to hear from anyone who might have found discarded CCTV equipment, recording devices or hard drives in the area.
